IRCTC has implemented an AI-based monitoring system in over 800 base kitchens to ensure food quality and hygiene for railway passengers. With 2,394 AI-enabled CCTV cameras connected to a central war room in New Delhi, the system detects 9 types of hygiene violations, including staff attire and the presence of pests. If violations are not rectified, alerts are escalated, leading to action within two hours. Last month alone, 13,550 alerts were recorded, significantly improving kitchen discipline.
