A new study report titled 'Mahanadi: Banchitanka Jibanarekha' was launched in Bhubaneswar, highlighting the severe crisis facing the Mahanadi river. Environmentalists and experts expressed concerns over the endangered livelihoods of poor, tribal, and fishing communities due to illegal prawn farming, sand mining, and siltation.
