Venezuela was hit by two massive earthquakes of 7.1 and 7.5 magnitude within just one minute on Wednesday evening. The tremors caused widespread destruction in Caracas and other regions, leading to building collapses and numerous injuries. The first quake was centered 168km west of Caracas at a depth of 13km, followed quickly by a 7.5 magnitude quake. Infrastructure, including power lines and communication networks, has been severely damaged, and flight operations are suspended.
