The active El Niño in the Pacific Ocean is raising global weather concerns. Scientists warn of extreme heatwaves, droughts, and floods. According to NOAA, there is a 63% chance of it becoming severe between November and January. This could be one of the strongest El Niños since 1950. In India, IMD predicts a 10% deficit in monsoon rainfall and increased heatwaves. Odisha is expected to feel the impact from June, with Northern parts likely receiving below-normal rainfall, while Southern and Central regions may see normal trends.
