Part 1 : Brightening serum
A brightening serum is a serum designed to even out the complexion, reduce dark spots, and give the skin more radiance. It mainly works on the production of melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color. When melanin is overproduced (sun exposure, inflammation, hormones…), brown spots appear.
The ingredients — tranexamic acid, kojic acid, arbutin — all have the ability to slow down melanin production.
