Day-196 (12.08.26) 👉 Request to PM Narendra Modi - Ensure 100% EWS implementation by ALL States & UTs. In late 2018–2019, BJP lost key state elections — Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and later Jharkhand. A clear message emerged: General Category (GC) voters were drifting away. With the 2019 Lok Sabha election just months away, BJP played a decisive masterstroke — 10% EWS Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections among General Category. 📌 Result? BJP secured 303 seats in 2019 — the highest ever tally in BJP’s history. There is no denying this truth: GC vote consolidation + EWS promise mattered. But today, 7 years later, the reality is shocking 👇 ❌ EWS is NOT implemented fully in nearly 60% of States & UTs ❌ Even several BJP-ruled states are defaulting ❌ No visible pressure from the Centre on non-compliant states If a Constitutional Amendment passed by Parliament can be casually ignored by states for 7 long years, what message does it send? 👉 Was EWS a genuine reform 👉 Or merely an election-time appeasement stunt? ⚠️ Warning Signals Are Already Visible ☠️ BJP seats fell from 303 (2019) ↘️ 240 (2024) ☠️ BJP is now dependent on allies 😡😡GC frustration is real and growing ❌Ignoring EWS implementation is not just administrative failure — it is political self-sabotage❌ 🎯 What GC Must Do Now Just like GC students are united against UGC injustice, 👉 the FIRST united demand must be 100% EWS implementation across ALL States & UTs. 🧾 Who is suffering the most? EWS families Brahmin community Forward Castes (FC) Middle-class & tax-paying citizens These are nation-building communities, not vote banks to be remembered only during elections. 📢 Clear Message to the Centre If BJP still believes in Sabka Saath, Sabka Nyay, then enforce EWS fully — now, not later. ❗ If eyewash politics continues, 2029 will be far more difficult than 2024. ⚠️ Important Information About Reservation ⚠️ In 1950, the Constitution originally provided a 10-year limit only for political reservation (reserved MP and MLA seats) under Article 334, but Parliament has repeatedly extended it and it currently continues until 2030. This never applied to reservation in education or public employment. In 1951, the Supreme Court's Champakam Dorairajan judgment struck down caste-based reservation in educational institutions. In response, the Nehru Government enacted the First Constitutional Amendment, inserting Article 15(4) to enable reservation in education. Likewise, the Modi Government introduced 10% EWS reservation through the 103rd Constitutional Amendment (2019), which must be implemented uniformly across all States and UTs. P.s: 90% (to 99%) of Indians are poor or economically weaker (EWS) Thanks & Regards, Devarajan N.R.
