The heartfelt tributes paid across the country once again proved that true public leaders never fade away—they continue to live forever in the hearts of millions. The nationwide remembrance of Chandrashekhar Ji is the greatest testimony to his life of honesty, simplicity, and selfless service. One unforgettable memory that still inspires me is the historic three-day conference held at Rajgir, Bihar, where Chandrashekhar Ji personally stood at the entrance, collecting meal coupons from the participants and politely guiding them inside. Despite having served as the Prime Minister of India, he displayed extraordinary humility and simplicity. He never believed that leadership was about power or privilege; he believed it was about serving people with dignity and respect. The manner in which his death anniversary was observed across India on 8 July clearly demonstrates that a leader who dedicates his life to the welfare of the people is never forgotten. The love and respect he continues to receive is the true reward of a life devoted to public service. Today, on 9 July, I wish to make a humble appeal to every leader, public representative, and citizen of our country. Live a life of integrity and perform such noble deeds that even after you are gone, people remember you with respect, celebrate your birth anniversary, and pay tribute on your death anniversary. Never leave behind a legacy that people wish to forget or remember with criticism. A person's greatest identity is not the office they hold, but the values they live by and the service they render to humanity. At a time when our nation faces many social and economic challenges, we need leadership that genuinely stands with the poor, farmers, workers, the underprivileged, and every citizen in need. This was the essence of Chandrashekhar Ji's politics—compassion, simplicity, courage, and unwavering commitment to the people.
