Life is a paradox: Christmas Hopes...
Priceless life and the pricelist of human organs
"God promises to make something good out of the storms that bring devastation to your life."
- Bible
Life is a paradox. Millions of people die every year due to poverty, terrorism and wars (organized terrorism). Human life is priceless. That's made worthless by religion and politics.
Here’s an approximate valuation of the human body in terms of organ “market prices” (black-market/illegal transplant values) converted to Indian rupees (₹), as of December 25, 2025.
Please note that buying or selling human organs is illegal in India and almost everywhere else.
These numbers are not legal prices and do not represent an actual tradable value of human life. This view is purely analytical and should not be taken as encouragement for any unlawful activity, rather it's given to discourage suicides due to ignorance.
Estimated Black-Market Organ Prices (Approximate)
Kidney (each)$70,000~₹58 lakh Liver (whole/partial)$120,000~₹99 lakh Heart$150,000~₹1.25 crore
Lung (one)$160,000~₹1.33 crore Pancreas$110,000~₹91 lakh
Corneas (pair)$25,000~₹20.7 lakh
Bone Marrow / Tissue$20,000 (approx for valuable tissue)~₹16.6 lakh
Black-market values vary wildly by region and source; these are mid-range approximate figures. Black-market values are driven by demand scarcity, medical urgency, and illegal risks. Donors usually receive only a small fraction of these amounts in illicit trades.
Total (rough black-market estimate):
₹7.3 Cr. (₹73 million)
In India, the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act prohibits organ trade and penalizes violations. These numbers should be understood as analytical estimates, not ethical valuations of human life. Human dignity, ethical norms, and legal frameworks do not allow treating bodies as commodities.
Christmas Message
Human life is priceless. It is the collective duty of humanity to treat every individual with dignity and to work together to eradicate poverty, terrorism, and war.
Happy Christmas!
