Akali Dal leader Jaskaranjit Singh Deol has been arrested by Mohali police on charges of sexually assaulting a 14.5-year-old minor girl. The victim's father alleged that Deol first trapped his wife and then exploited his daughter after moving them to a flat in Mohali. The accused allegedly took the minor to a hotel, assaulted her, and threatened to have her father killed by gangsters if she spoke out.
