Babulal Chaudhary stated that Chetan was standing far away when Ketan fell from Lohagad Fort, while fiancee Siya Goyal was closest to him. Police allege that Siya and Chetan conspired for weeks, including conducting a recce on May 31 and destroying Ketan's passport to cancel a Bali trip. According to investigators, an earlier murder attempt on June 14 failed before the crime was eventually committed on June 18.
