The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has installed an Early Warning System at 6 sensitive locations near Pong Dam in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. This multi-crore system will alert residents living within a 2-kilometer radius hours before water is released from the spillway gates. Deputy Chief Engineer V.K.
