Prateek Yadav, the 38-year-old younger son of late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, passed away at his Lucknow residence. He was found unconscious in the kitchen early Wednesday morning. According to the post-mortem report, the cause of death was heart failure and a blood clot in the lungs. Prateek was the husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav visited the post-mortem house, while CM Yogi Adityanath visited the residence to offer condolences. Despite staying away from politics, Prateek was a well-known figure.
