The Central Government has appointed Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth as the next Chief of Army Staff. He will succeed General Upendra Dwivedi and serve as the 31st Army Chief from June 30, 2024, until August 31, 2028. An alumnus of NDA and IMA, Gen Seth was commissioned into the Armoured Corps in 1986 and has nearly 40 years of experience serving in strategic locations like J&K and the Western border.
