The Madras High Court has adjourned the final hearing of a case challenging the Tamil Nadu government's power to appoint University Vice-Chancellors to July 29. The DMK government had passed a law to shift this authority to the state. While the High Court initially stayed the law, the Supreme Court later lifted the stay and directed the High Court to conduct a full hearing. A bench comprising Chief Justice S.A. Dharmadhikari and Justice G. Arulmurugan has now ordered all parties, including the state government, to file their response affidavits. https://www.dailythanthi.com/news/tamilnadu/case-challenging-governments-decision-to-appoint-vice-chancellor-adjourned-for-final-hearing #creator program
