Indians are poor 🔴 People often celebrate India's achievements - becoming the world's 6th largest economy, launching satellites and successful space missions, exporting BrahMos missiles, developing private space rockets, introducing hydrogen trains, building Vande Bharat trains, constructing world-class expressways, expanding metro rail networks, achieving record digital payments (UPI), and setting new milestones in manufacturing and infrastructure. These are genuine achievements. But they tell only half the story. GDP measures the size of a country's economy. GDP per capita measures the average economic output per person. India ranks 6th in total GDP, yet around 172nd in GDP per capita. This shows that while the nation's economy has grown significantly, the benefits have not reached many ordinary families. A nation's success should not be measured only by the size of its economy, but by the prosperity of its families. This ground reality is one of the reasons why the Brahmin (GC) Political Party, under its vision of "Self-Sustaining Families," proposes a Family GDP Calculation & Monitoring System. Instead of measuring only national GDP, we believe governments should also monitor the economic well-being of every family - tracking household income, savings, debt, education, healthcare, housing, employment, entrepreneurship, and overall quality of life. A country becomes truly developed only when its families become economically self-sustaining. When Family GDP rises, National GDP rises with meaning. The real goal is not just a bigger GDP.
