Women in Rajouri becoming self-reliant through skill training In Bathuni village of Rajouri district in Jammu & Kashmir, JKRSETI is organizing various skill development training programs for women. As part of this initiative, a special jute bag-making training program is currently underway. The 14-day training program has around 35 women participants. Held at Panchayat Bathuni, the course teaches trainees to create eco-friendly products such as shopping bags, mobile covers, bottle covers, tiffin covers, and pencil pouches. Due to the ban on polythene, the demand for jute products has increased significantly, making this training even more relevant. Construction of new Degree College campus in Budgam gains pace, students to get modern facilities In the Chadoora area of Budgam district in Jammu & Kashmir, construction work on the new Government Degree College campus is progressing rapidly, bringing a wave of happiness among local students. Students who had long been demanding better infrastructure are now hopeful of much-needed relief. Established in 2019, the college has so far been functioning from temporary classrooms, where students had to study in limited space with inadequate facilities. As a result, many students were forced to travel to Srinagar and other towns for higher education. The upcoming campus will be a three-storey building equipped with modern facilities. NGO and District Police Poonch jointly provided CPR training to police personnelIn the Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir, a few days ago, an NGO named Divya International, in collaboration with District Police Poonch, organized a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training program for police personnel at Police Line Poonch. The objective of this training was to equip police personnel with essential life-saving techniques to help save lives during emergency situations. During the program, expert doctors and trainers provided detailed guidance to police जवान (personnel) on the correct method of performing CPR, the immediate steps to be taken in case of cardiac arrest, and important aspects of first aid.
