Chocolate Ganache Chocolate Cake
Ingredients :
For the Chocolate Cake :
• 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
• ¾ cup (75 g) cocoa powder
• 2 cups (400 g) sugar
• 1½ tsp baking powder
• 1½ tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup (240 ml) milk
• ½ cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup (240 ml) hot coffee or hot water
For the Chocolate Ganache :
• 400 g dark chocolate, chopped
• 400 ml heavy cream (whipping cream)
Instructions :
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans.
3. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
4. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract.
5. Mix until smooth.
6. Gradually add the hot coffee or hot water and mix well.
7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
8. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
10. Heat the cream until just simmering.
11. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate.
12. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.
13. Allow the ganache to cool until spreadable.
14. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a thick layer of ganache on top.
15. Place the second cake layer over it.
16. Cover the top and sides of the cake with the remaining ganache.
17. Smooth with a spatula and decorate with chocolate shavings, curls, or chocolate chips if desired.
18. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes before slicing.

• Baking: 35 minutes
• Total Time: About 1 hour 30 minutes
